AFP reported that Poland's Chief Rabbi rejected an invitation to join in a ceremony to honor World War II ultra-nationalist fighters and called his invitation to the event a “personal insult.”
“The organization of these ceremonies insults the memory of all Polish citizens killed in the fight against Germany,” Rabbi Michael Schudrich said in an open letter addressed to Veterans’ Affairs Minister Jan Kasprzyk, I regard being invited to take part in them as a personal insult," he wrote in an open letter published in Polish media.
