IDF Chief of Staff Major General Aviv Kochavi and Commander of the Central Command Gen. Nadav Padan arrived at the scene of the attack in which Dvir (Yehuda) Sorek was assassinated.
The commanders conducted an on-the-spot assessment, attended by the commander of the Etzion Regional Brigade, Brigadier General David Shapira, representatives of the ISA and the Israeli police.
"The IDF, the Shin Bet and the Israeli police continue their pursuit of the terrorist and at the same time intensify the defense efforts in the area," the IDF spokesman said.
