Public Safety Minister Gilad Erdan signed orders on Monday to prevent two events sponsored and funded by the Palestinian Authority, which were to take place in eastern Jerusalem. The first event was in memory of Fatah activist Ahmed Adila. The second was in memory of Sobhai Josha, a Palestine Liberation Organization activist deported to Jordan many years ago, who was one of the founders of the Nidal Shaabat National Struggle Party, which had representatives from the PA government. The events were supposed to include PA national songs, speeches by senior PA officials, PA sovereign symbols and participation by senior members of the Popular Front terrorist organization.

Minister Erdan also signed an extension of the injunction preventing PA activity in the city after adopting Shabak Israel Security Agency and police recommendations restricting the operation of a number of facilities due to their affiliation with the PA.
