Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards and the Iranian Navy announced seizing a foreign tanker with 700,000 liters of fuel in the Persian Gulf.
Seven foreign crews were reportedly detained.
According to the report, the tanker seized in the Persian Gulf was stopped as early as Wednesday.
Iran accused the tankers of smuggling fuel to some Arab states.
Britain has informed Iran there will be no tanker swap.
