Police arrested a 65-year-old former Haifa lawyer who escaped his trial.
In 2003, he was indicted on a charge of theft by a licensee, who at the time served as his lawyer, stole millions of shekels from clients, taking advantage of their plight, including minors, who had been orphaned from their father and an elder.
He admitted attributing it to him as part of a plea deal that included, among other things, payment of compensation to his victims, but stopped attending hearings. Proceedings against him were started from 2004
