About 1,200 worshipers prayed, Monday evening, at the Tomb of biblical Joseph in the Samarian Palestinian Authority city of Shechem (Nablus).
The Israel Defense Forces, Border Guards, Israeli Police and Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria secured their entry. During security scans prior to the worshipers' arrival, a pipe bomb was found and was neutralized in a controlled detonation. Disorders broke out as the worshipers arrived. Rioters threw stones at soldiers and burned tires. The fighters responded with riot-control measures and the prayers were held without further incident.
