The London-based Ash-Sharq Al-Awsat reported, citing senior Western diplomats, that Israel has carried out two strikes in Iraq this month, targeting facilities of Shiite militias affiliated with Iran.
The aim of the attack was to prevent Iranian consolidation in the region.
