Shlomo Ne'eman, head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council, responded on Monday evening to the report that Cabinet ministers had discussed approving Palestinian construction in Area C.

"We expected and hoped that in the days of a right-wing government, Israeli law will apply to these places, and the natural process of applying sovereignty in Judea and Samaria will begin. To our amazement, we discovered that the Arab attitude of robbery’ of one dunam after another, timed and financed construction, by foreign elements, of home after home simply pays off for them."

"Mr. Prime Minister, put up a stop sign to the hallucinatory demands of our ‘great friend’ and if it is still a friend, it will accept it with understanding," Ne'eman said.
