The Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) Party has responded negatively to National Union Chairman Bezalel Smotrich's statement that "Otzma Yehudit must show responsibility" and join National Union's joint run with the New Right and Jewish Home.

Saying, "It's time Smotrich stopped thinking that everyone is stupid," a statement by Otzma Yehudit's Itamar Ben-Gvir said, "Smotrich exploited Otzma Yehudit, used it and threw it out, and now he proposes to place a representative of Jewish power in eighth place [on the ballot], an insulting number for everything, when it's so urgent that his number 2, Ofir Sofer be placed before Ben-Gvir. One who worries about the fate of the Land of Israel does not behave like that and what is being presented today is the old NRP [National Religious Party, old name of the Jewish Home -ed.] There will be two parties in the upcoming elections, one representing the nationalist haredi stream and one representing the liberal stream."
