The Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office has filed an indictment in the city's Magistrates Court against Hussein Mahameed, 54, of Umm al-Fahm for fraudulently receiving something from 11 of complainants, most of them elderly.

The indictment states that the defendant or others sabotaged pipes of the complainants' home and cause damage or other defects. In some of the cases, the defendant himself or the others entered the complainants' home in order to make corrections which the defendant falsely claimed existed, when in fact, there was no problem with their plumbing. The defendant fraudulently received from each complainant sums of money in cash or checks, ranging from 500 to 18,500 shekels totalling NIS 65,500.
