National Union chairman Minister Bezalel Smotrich blasted Meretz chairman Nitzan Horowitz on Monday, after he tweeted against the deportation of a foreign worker and her children.
"Nitzan, you are a demagogue. You cynically exploit a mother and her children in your struggle to turn Israel into a state of all its citizens," Smotrich tweeted.
"This is an illegal alien and every normal country in the world that respects its sovereignty and sets an immigration policy would send her home. And by the way, I would be happy if you send me a screenshot of your tweet expressing mercy for the children of Gush Katif..." he added.
