"The minister has the authority to dismiss and appoint a director-general (CEO) to his office, even during an election," said the movement for government and democracy in regards to the firing of Director-General Ami Palmor.
"The minister is responsible for the functioning of the ministry, and the public can express their position on the functioning of the government and its ministers in elections that will take place in another two months." There is no justification for restricting the minister from carrying out his policy."
