In a post on Twitter, Minister of Transportation Betzalel Smotrich (United Right) attacked former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Israeli Democracy party, writing:
"Ehud Barak devoured the Israel Police and its security capabilities as early as 2000 when he abandoned its soldiers and commanders to the mercy of the Or Commission he established after he gave in to the pressure of the Arab factions in the Knesset. The Or Commission sacrificed the best commanders on the altar of the will to appease the Arab rioters and its chilling effect on police activities to enforce law and order."
