Danny Danon, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, told Israeli public radio on Tuesday that he will raise the failure of UN envoy to the Middle East Nickolay Mladenov to work for the release of the bodies of soldiers Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul, held by Hamas in Gaza, when he addresses the regular session of the Security Council on the situation in the Middle East, later in the day.

Danon said, "It's a matter of a Security Council decision. It is not a matter of goodwill, but rather the duty of the council to address it." He added, "We embrace the families and try to coordinate more meetings and visits for them around the world. It is significant that when an ambassador or leader sits in front of a mother waiting for her son, it's impossible to remain indifferent to this."
