Transportation Minister Bezalel Smotrich responded on Monday to a news report that Israel has reached an agreement with Jordan regarding the Golden Gate compound on the Temple Mount.
"This shameful surrender to violence and the trampling of the law by the Arabs on the Temple Mount is a violation of Israeli sovereignty in the holiest place of the Jewish people, a violation of our national dignity and a violation of Israel's security. I call on Prime Minister Netanyahu to cancel the decision and restore our national honor,” he tweeted.
