MK Sharon Haskal (Likud) arrived tonight (Thursday) at the "Let us dance quietly" rally in Rabin Square.
"I came to the rally to express support and strengthen the hundreds of thousands of citizens who have been hurt recently because of the excessive enforcement at various events and festivals because of the police's claim that there is a fear of drug trafficking," said the Haskal.
"It is impossible for Israeli entrepreneurs and producers to invest in events for the public and at the eleventh minute the police will announce their cancellation. In the next Knesset, I will demand and promote clear guidelines and regulations for obtaining licenses for events in open areas that can not be easily canceled. The role of the police is to stop drug dealers, not to stop events that the public enjoys, "she added.
