Former chairman Daniel Ellinson of the Ezra World movement is appealing to the Supreme Court over his conviction of bribery to former deputy minister Faina Kirshenbaum as part of the Yisrael Beytenu case, according to the Globes financial publication.
Elinson was sentenced to nine months of community service, after the judge ruled that he had not taken any money into his pocket, as well as the many character testimonies he had heard. The state appealed the leniency of the sentence and claimed that Allenson should do time behind bars, and now Ellison is also appeling, claiming that his conviction for bribery is a mistake.
