Chairman Aryeh Deri of the haredi-religious Shas Party has expressed disappointment with Blue-and-White Party Chairman Benny Gantz's intention to operate public transportation on Shabbat.
Deri said, "Mr. Gantz, it's too bad you're being dragged after [fellow Blue and white leader Yair] Lapid. You do so with beautiful words, but it does not conceal your dangerous intention to harm the status quo which has existed for decades, to stir up hatred and separation, and to turn the holy day of rest that allows every Jew to rest with his family into another secular weekday."
