"Avocado will continue to be abundant on the shelves in the coming season," says Reuven Dor, chairman of the avocado table at the Plants Council, in response to an article published this morning about a possible shortage of local avocados next season.
Dor, one of the veteran farmers from Moshav Ramot in the Golan Heights, stresses that "a significant increase in orchard areas in recent years allows for an abundance of Israeli avocados in the current season, which will begin in a few weeks."
