MK Gabi Ashkenazi (Blue and White) commented on the results of the Khan Yunis investigation: "While the media is noisy and the commentators talk about the mistakes, defects and omissions, we should remember: Lieutenant Colonel M. took part in a daring operation, saved lives and we have to make sure his character is remembered as a hero of Israel who devoted his life to the country."

The mistakes and defects of the operation in Khan Yunis must be learned and fixed, and I trust that the IDF and its commanders will do this as is needed."
