The police made it clear that roadblocks are forbidden by law and cause harm to a large number of drivers.
"Alongside the containment and police restraint at demonstrators in an attempt to allow them to express their protest, the Israel Police will not allow continued blocking of major traffic arteries throughout the country in such a way as to cause such a significant harm to Israeli citizens in general and to road users in particular."
