The Jewish Home Party issued a statement in which it expressed sorrow over the death of the late Salomon Tikka, who was shot by a policeman in Kiryat Haim.
"The Ethiopian community is an important and significant part of the Israeli fabric, sacrificing itself at all the important junctions with true love for the land and state. We in the Jewish Home promise to do everything so that instances like these don't happen again."
