Police arrested three suspects in assaulting policemen and throwing rocks at a police car in Umm al-Fahm.
Police stopped a vehicle for inspection in the city last night. They told the driver of the vehicle, a 33-year-old resident, that he must accompany them to the police station. The suspect objected and after they informed him that he would be arrested, he began attacking the policemen.
Two policemen were lightly wounded and the suspect and his 18-year-old friend, a local resident who was with him in a vehicle and is also suspected of attacking policemen, were arrested for questioning. At the same time, a third suspect in his twenties arrived and started throwing rocks at the patrol car.
