Yisrael Beiteinu chairman and former defense minister MK Avigdor Lieberman welcomed the first Druze pilot who received his pilot wings in a ceremony in Hatzerim base Thursday evening.
"The Wings reception ceremony is one of the most beautiful and exciting ceremonies in the IDF, and a moment that brings pride to every Israeli, especially today, when Lieutenant G. is the first Druze pilot among the new pilots." The Druze community has linked its fate with the State of Israel," Lieberman said.
"I wish Lieutenant G. and his friends, graduates of course 178, success in the future. You are finishing a very important stage today in a long and challenging career. We trust you."
