An indictment was filed Thursday morning, charging a 25-year-old Ashkelon resident with breaking into a local synagogue and stealing money from charity boxes.
During a search by police at the time of his arrest, he was allegedly found to be carrying property taken from one of a number of synagogues that have suffered burglaries.
