The Registrar of the Collection Office has determined that the Ministry of Finance should award a compensation fee of NIS 14 million to 52 Palestinian Authority residents who were arrested and tortured by the PA security forces for collaborating with Israel.
The deduction from tax transfers to the PA is being carried out following the Supreme Court's rejection last November of the PA's request to delay the execution of a foreclosure in that amount on the collaborators' lawsuit, as awarded two years ago by the Jerusalem District Court.
