The President of the State of Israel, Reuven Rivlin, received today the President of Chile, Sebastián Piñera, who is visiting Israel.
The President of Chile was received at an official ceremony during which the two countries' anthems were played, the Presidents reviewed an IDF honor guard and at the end they made joint statements at the President's Residence in Jerusalem.
"The gaps between us and the Palestinians are great, but we must also start with small steps of cooperation, not to boycott or refuse any plan that would improve our economic and social situation," Rivlin said.
