MK Ilan Gilon (Meretz) attacked Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday over the initiative to cancel the early elections.

"There is no step, however repulsive and humiliating, that the suspect from Balfour will not do in order to save himself from an indictment," said Gilon.

"The damage that this man and his collaborators have done and will do to Israeli society and its institutions will take years to correct, but this correction must happen quickly, and that is precisely why we are going to elections," he added.
