Doctor Michael Oren said on Sunday that the economic portion of the United States plan for peace between Israel and the United States "takes a page from Israeli history."
Writing on Twitter, the former Israeli ambassador to Washington DC explained, "The way to build a stable Middle Eastern society is from the bottom up—not top-down like Syria and Iraq—by first laying strong financial and social institutions. The plan offers Palestinians that opportunity. Tragic if they miss it."
