A poll by Direct Pulse of 50,000 Labor Party members show Member of Knesset Amir Peretz leading the race for leadership of the party with 34-percent support, two percentage points ahead of MK Itzik Shmuli.
MK Staf Shafir is third with 18 percent. Nine percent are undecided and six percent would not vote for any of them. Political analyst Amit Segal said, "Too close and too early to call."
