Dozens of Israeli citizens of Georgian origin have discovered that their identity cards are being used by impostors who are working in Israel under their names, including three who reported it to the Israel Defense Forces Radio program "Yihiyeh Besder (It will be alright)".

The citizens recently received notices from various insurance companies, according to which pension and training funds were opened for them by employers they do not even know. Some of them even received a warning from the Tax Authority, according to which they must make a renewed tax adjustment and pay accordingly. At the request of the radio program, the employers discovered that the workers who opened the funds were impostors, and when the identity cards of the impostors and the civilians were cross referenced, it turned out that all the details were identical except the pictures, which were fake. The Capital Market Authority, which is working with the insurance companies to clarify the matter, said the cases are apparently related to the phenomenon of identity theft for the employment of illegal workers.
