Former United States Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta said on Thursday that Washington has lost the ability to be a fair mediator in the "deal of the century" for peace between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
Interviewed by Israel Defense Forces Radio, Panetta said the US always tried to create a balanced relationship, and because it seems to have given up this approach, serious problems have arisen.
