The New Israel Fund has appealed to its donors and supporters abroad to join Resolution 234, a legislative initiative in the United States Senate against the application of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.
A statement by the group said that annexation is not only illegal under international law, but will also lead to the encouragement and expansion of "the occupation" and to the violation of the human rights of the "Palestinians". It said the fact that the "extremists" are in power, both in America and in Israel, is an unprecedented threat to Israeli democracy.
