Russian National Security Advisor Nikolai Patrushev told journalists on Thursday, ahead of a meeting with Israeli and US counterparts in Jerusalem next week, "We have friendly relations with Iran, just as we have ties with Israel and the United States. We may reach a situation in which we find that some of us have a conflict of interests. We will represent the Iranian interest to the Israelis and the Americans." His words hinted that there are disagreements over the relationship between Iran and the Russians and the US and Israel.
In response to a question, he noted that he was unable to assess the outcome of the meeting, because the issues that will be discussed have not yet been finalized.
