The Landmine Clearance Authority in the Ministry of Defense, in cooperation with the Israel Defense Forces, has recently cleared mines, unexploded ordnance and booby-trapped explosives from the seventh and last monastery in the Land of the Monasteries area in the Judean Desert near the River Jordan.
Israel's Halo Trust and supervisory company 4CI carried out the operation.
