Paris prosecutors demanded on Monday the indictment of Kobili Traoré, suspected of killing Jewish pensioner Sarah Halimi in Paris in 2017, on a count of voluntary homicide with the aggravating circumstance of anti-Semitism, according to French media.

Traoré, who is hospitalized, was previously found unfit to stand trial, with divergent conclusion in three psychiatric reports. The public prosecutor considered that the suspect's mental problems impaired his judgment at the time of the killing but did not eliminate it. It is now up to the investigating judge to decide whether or not this trial should be held.
