A meeting has concluded at the Ministry of Agriculture in preparation for the possibility of a strike or sanctions by the ministry's employees in the coming day, which will focus on the entry and exit of goods from Israel.
The ministry said that the strike or the sanctions were the continuation of the strike that ended on the eve of Shavuot, due to the overtime cuts agreed upon by the Finance Ministry and the Histadrut Haclalit labor federation a year and a half ago. The Agriculture Ministry issued a statement saying, "The estimation is that just as the Ministry of Finance has found a solution to the problem of afternoon-care centers and has found a budgetary source, it will also find a solution to this crisis, and there will be no significant damage to the salaries of junior employees in all government ministries."
