Member of Knesset Idit Silman (United Right) sent a letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Knesset Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein and Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz in which she called on the state to demand the return of living Israelis and the bodies of soldiers held by Hamas in Gaza.
She cited a resolution passed by the United Nations Security Council a few days ago "on the obligation to return missing and killed in action to their families for burial, and the responsibility of the international community and UN member states to act to realize this commitment." Silman added. "The United Nations envoy to the Middle East, Mr. Nickolay Mladenov, is required by this decision to call and act to bring back the boys from Gaza, something that has not yet been done."
