A baby who developed cardiac arrest at the beginning of the birth procedure today at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital died a few hours after her birth.
"Upon the mother's arrival at the hospital, a sudden sharp drop in the fetal heart rate was observed in the monitor. She was immediately extracted and resuscitated by neonatal intensive care staff. The baby partially responded to the resuscitation efforts but after a few hours died," the hospital said.
