The head of the Bar Association, Avi Haimi, responded to Justice Minister Amir Ohana's statement that there is no obligation to uphold the court's rulings.

"I spoke this evening with the justice minister and clarified my position on the Supreme Court and the importance of preserving the judicial system and democracy. I told the justice minister that nobody is immune to criticism in a democracy and criticism should be heard, but with discretion, with moderation and with respect for the judicial system, "said Himi.

"The Minister of Justice made it clear to me. We agreed that we will work shoulder to shoulder in the future, for the citizens of the State of Israel and for the justice system, "added the head of the bureau.
