Sources close to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu claimed on Tuesday that they informally offered Chairman Bezalel Smotrich of the National Union to be a justice minister without the chairmanship of the Ministerial Committee on Legislation, but he refused, according to Israel Defense Forces Radio.
Smotrich responded, "It never happened."
