    24 years-to-life for 2014 kidnap-murder of haredi man in Brooklyn

    The Brooklyn Supreme Court sentenced 40-year-old Erskin Felix of the Crown Heights neighborhood to 24 years-to-life in prison last week for the January 2014 kidnapping and murder of haredi-religious businessman Menachem Stark.

    Felix was convicted in April on charges of first-degree kidnapping, second-degree murder and tampering with evidence. His cousin Kendel was sentenced to 15-years-to-life on May 1st, having been convicted on similar charges in September of 2016. The two had worked for the victim. Erskin's brother Kendall and another man were convicted on related charges.
