Hermes 45, a small unmanned aerial vehicle produced by Elbit Systems will be displayed for the first time at the Paris Air Show. It provides a unique combination of a wide range of operations and prolonged airborne survivability, with the ability to take off and land on relatively-short land and sea platforms, thereby expanding the intelligence, surveillance and acquisition capabilities of various sizes of military units.

Hermes 45 has a flight range of hundreds of kilometers on the basis of a miniature satellite communications and a bomb bay that enables the operation of a number of explosive charges at the same time, including electro-optical and infrared sensors, marine radar, space-hold charges, electronic warfare and communications. It is operated by two crew members, launched from a short, mobile track and can return to the starting point using an automatic landing system.
