Chairwoman Tamar Zandberg of the Meretz Party said, Tuesday morning that that she will demand that Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit to investigate Natan Eshel, an associate of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, following news that Eshel told Member of Knesset Bezal Smotrich that there was no chance of Smotrich being named justice minister, according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation.
Calling it "a criminal offense", Zandberg said she would demand that Mandelblit investigate "not only Eshel but all those involved in the negotiations for the appointment of a justice minister." She also called it "more proof of why the tenure of a criminal suspect as prime minister is polluting the functioning of an entire state."
