Chairman Oded Forer of the Yisrael Beytenu Knesset faction has attacked the government over the continued terror of balloons in the Gaza vicinity. Responding to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's claim that alliances with haredi-religious parties don't make Israel a state of Jewish law, he said, "It turns out that this government is not only a government of a halakhic state, but also a government of the state of restraint, when dozens of dunams are being burned today in the south of the country and the prime minister continues to transfer money to Hamas."

Forer continued, "The time has come for the government of Israel to understand that the attempts to buy quiet by paying the terrorist organizations in Gaza are acting in the opposite direction and only encourage terrorism and intensify the terrorist extortion. You cannot see the burned fields and not be filled with anger at the helplessness of the government, which is only busy arranging chairs for its ministers instead of maintaining the security of its citizens."
