May Peretz, a 17-year-old boy from the Negev town of Ashalim, was killed on Friday night by a car driven by his 26-year-old cousin, after she had let him off at his home.
He was taken to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva where doctors were unsuccessful in their efforts to save him. Just what happened is under investigation. The cousin was interrogated by the police and collapsed at the end of her interrogation. May's funeral is scheduled for 16:00 at the cemetery in Ashalim, but the hour may change according to the instructions of the rabbinate.
