Minister Aryeh Deri was questioned this morning by the National Fraud Investigation Unit, Lahav 433.
The police say that this is not a new investigation, but rather a continuation of the investigation into a current case.
The joint investigation is being conducted by the Israel Police, the Income Tax Investigations Department, the Tax Authority and the Prohibition of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Authority in the Ministry of Justice, and with the supervision of the Attorney General.
"Beyond this, naturally we will not be able to elaborate on additional details from ongoing investigations," the report said.
