The municipality of Arad has raised lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender flags in the city hall as a sign of solidarity and support with the LGBT community in the city.
Mayor Nissan Ben Hamo said, "We are proud to raise the flag of pride as a liberal, pluralistic city that advances the acceptance of the other. This is the example we set for the entire region. Join us for information and open-discussion events on the subject this month."
