In a post on Twitter, Acting Minister of Justice Amir Ohana thanked Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu for appointing him to the post, writing:

"As a Jew, as an Israeli, as a loving partner of Alon Hadad and father of Lala and David who are my family, as a Mizrahi, Likudnik, Beersheva resident and a Liberals (these things come together!), After thousands of hours in the courtroom as a lawyer, I have been appointed Minister of Justice, thank you to the Prime Minister for the tremendous trust, and thank you."
