In a discussion held by the Labor Party leadership together with Knesset members a short time ago, it was decided to convene a party conference a week from Wednesday on a proposal to hold elections for party leadership among all party members on July 2.
It was decided to bring two alternatives to the conference regarding the Knesset list: holding new elections to the Knesset list among party members and preserving the current Knesset list as it stands. In addition, it was decided that the party's Constitution Committee will convene tomorrow to examine the legality of Knesset member Amir Peretz's additional proposal to elect the chairman among the members of the conference.
